Maybe it's how you imagine the thing. I imagine being followed at night coming back from the store. I'd be scared as hell if someone started stalking me. I suppose many of the folks who approve the shooting of this teen, see themselves as law enforcers- like the comments here, about the "pro-social" Zim. I'd think we'd all want to make sure this never happens again. Whatever people think about Trayvon- he was, at the time he was killed, unarmed and guilty of nothing more than walking home with some junk food. Zim was armed, was following him, and what happened after that, no one really knows. Zim was lucky with the verdict, I think. It could easily have been manslaughter. I wish it had been. But I do hope this case discourages, rather than encourages, the kind of stupid behavior he engaged in.
