Zimmerman lived in a new area adjacent to a fantastic town center mall for the region opened up around 2000 with lots of places to hang out and things to do. Very upscale. The new suburban utopia for sure. Flip side there is a MLK Blvd less than a mile east of there that is a dramatic transition to a pretty rough ghetto part of old Sanford no one on this board would be caught walking the streets on at night. Needless to say many characters from that neighborhood will wander over to the mall area.. Not all are saints.. It ain't Dorothy's Kansas or Alaska or the PNW in much of sprawling economically challenged Florida.. One of the jurors spoke out last nite. Its clear she identified very much Zimmerman and there was little chance she would have seen it from Martin's POV. Having said that, the jury started out with 3 not guilties, one 2nd degree and two manslaughters. Over the course of the day and half, the not guilties were able to convince the rest to vote not guilty. In criminal trials, I wonder if there is a better way to go than the jury system.
