It is awfully strange to me that MSNBC is satisfied with its ratings.

You would think that at some point it would occur to them that better ratings might be had by moving towards being a news channel, rather than a TV version of Air America Radio, destined to failure.

Even if they said, "We're willing to take the hit to be able to get our point of view heard," they would be heard by more viewers if they at least tried to be competitive.

It seems to me this is an organization without any real objective. Don't want to make money? Don't want to get your message out? Fine. Why exist?

Very strange way of doing business.

It’s Come To This – Dept. of Justice asking for Tips to Help Prosecute George Zimmerman – DOJ/CRS Sets Up Email National Hotline

July 16, 2013 by sundance
theconservativetreehouse.com

This is just unbelievable. This administration WANTS full blown race warfare. There is no other reason for setting up a national hotline for people to email in tips to aid in the prosecution of George Zimmerman. Keep in mind the name on this Orlando Sentinel report. Dept of Justice, Civil Rights Division, Department of Community Relations, TOM PEREZ. The same Tom Perez President Obama nominated for Labor Secretary. (more after article)

ORLANDO – The U.S. Department of Justice on Monday afternoon appealed to civil rights groups and community leaders, nationally and in Sanford, for help investigating whether a federal criminal case might be brought against George Zimmerman for the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, one advocate said.

The DOJ has also set up a public email address to take in tips on its civil rights investigation.

Barbara Arnwine, president and executive director the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law – who earlier in the day joined calls for federal civil rights charges against Zimmerman, said that later in the afternoon, she joined a U.S. Department of Justice conference call to discuss the prospects.

“They were calling on us to actively refer anyone who had any information,” that might build a case against Zimmerman for either a civil rights violation or a hate crime, Arnwine said. “They said they would very aggressively investigate this case.”

Arnwine said the call was convened at about 3:30 p.m. by Tom Perez, Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice, and included representatives from the FBI, and several federal prosecutors, she said. DOJ officials also said they would open a public email address so people could send in tips on the case.

That email address, which is now in operation, is Sanford.florida@usdoj.gov.

In addition to Arnwine’s group, Sherrilyn Ifill, President and Director-Counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund; Laura Murphy, Washington Chapter head of the ACLU; and several national, Florida and Sanford-based “human relations” groups participated, Arnwine said.

During the call, DOJ officials announced they had set up a way for people to send email tips that could help aid in their investigation. The email address will be operational later this week.

Also Monday, Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. said a speech at the social action luncheon of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority, that he shares concerns about “the tragic, unnecessary shooting death” of Trayvon Martin last year, and he vowed to pursue a federal investigation into the matter, the Washington Post reported.

Holder pledged that the Justice Department would work to “alleviate tensions, address community concerns and promote healing” in response to the case. (ARTICLE LINK)

This is unbelievable.

The Sanford Police Department investigated George Zimmerman and had no evidence to charge him. So the political forces, City Manager Norton Bonaparte et al, demanded Detective Serino send the case to the local State Attorney, Norm Wolfinger. They made Serino re-write the filing 12 times. Chris Serino was threatened – he told the feds.

Then State Attorney Norm Wolfinger says there does not look like cause for an arrest or charges, but to appease the political forces he impanels a Grand Jury to hear the case construct on April 11th, 2012.

Not content with that, State and Federal officials pressure Florida Governor Rick Scott to intervene ahead of the Grand Jury, remove the case from Wolfinger, and send it to Special Prosecutor Angela Corey.

Angela Corey, not having foundation to win a Grand Jury indictment, cancels it, and files charges on her own authority. Charges everyone said from the outset were impossible to prove. But they charged him and took him to court.

A year and a half later, and after millions of dollars, and tens of thousands of labor hours of investigation -including the FBI- a jury trial commences and a jury acquits George Zimmerman, not guilty.

The FBI even said there was nothing in their investigation, which included talking to over 200+ people who knew George, and 60 people in his immediate neighborhood, that even remotely showed ill will or racist intentions.

But that’s not good enough. Now the Federal DOJ through the Civil Rights Division - The Community Relations Service, and Eric Holder/Tom Perez, want to pursue Federal charges, but the evidence from the FBI does not support it.

So what do they do? They ask the general public for tips against George Zimmerman so they can find some way to charge and/or convict him of something, anything ? Setting up anonymous email tip lines? Seriously? WHAT THE HELL?

I’m not surprised, because I believed obama when he said that he intended to fundamentally transform the United States of America and because I believed Eric Holder when he said that he would stand with his people in his role as AG of the US. No surprises here. Just confirmation.

If it weren’t so tragic, it might almost be funny to be one of the people that has to filter through the millions of false claims to try to find the potential needle in the haystack.
Hope many of these get leaked…

AND, this IS a civil rights case! Until there was any “hate law” the Civil Rights Laws were written to prevent any government entity from attacking someone who was a different ethnicity.(Think: Sheriff w/dogs Selma, etc.)

Is that the real reason The Lyin’ King rushed to get hate crimes law passed early on?

I say we start a new organization to combat actions such as these we can call it the NACAC National Association Creepy Azz Crackas! For the first time in my life at 48 years of age I am ashamed to be American and did not think anything like this could happen here on our own SOIL! *sighs*

They won’t find anything that they can prove, because there is nothing. However, what needs to happen is that the people that were touched positively by the life and deeds of George Zimmerman need to speak out. We can only hope.

We have a government run by a black thug culture, which is really sad for everyone in this country.

EXCLUSIVE: Robert Zimmerman to DOJ: Stop the 'Witch Hunt'
.................................................................................

by Ben Shapiro 16 Jul 2013
breitbart.com

On Tuesday evening, Robert Zimmerman, brother of George Zimmerman, responded to reports that Eric Holder’s Department of Justice had solicited the public for information about George that could help a federal civil rights prosecution. The DOJ has even set up an email address for tips on Zimmerman.

In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, Robert labeled the effort a “witch hunt,” asking, “How many other individuals has the DOJ witch-hunted in this way? I think that the state of FL when they embarked on their malicious prosecution of George would have liked nothing more than for he FBI to uncover any sign of racism that could be attributed to George. The FBI interviewed three dozen people who were close to George for any indication that George was a racist or had racist tendencies. What their investigation revealed thus far is that quite the opposite is true.

“Political persecution has reached a dimension unforeseen by many,”
Robert Zimmerman continued.

“It is inconceivable that high-ranking officials would endorse this kind of behavior. It is profoundly disserving that they facilitate it. I would remind the Department of Justice that a verdict has been reached in this case, and that the reputation of Sanford, Florida and the trust of the people of Sanford, Florida in regards to their law enforcement agencies is more important than continuing politically motivated and race-tinged assaults on an innocent man’s character.”

Robert Zimmerman for political office?
....................................................................................................................I've seen Robert Zimmerman (George Zimmerman's brother) and am impressed at this articulate clear thinking young man who seems to be very capable of handling himself under hostile interview conditions.

Is there any further background information on him? College? Military? Political leanings?

Is he old enough to run for Senate and replace Marc 'wannaberino' Rubio?

Twitter user swiftly sabotages Zimmerman juror’s book deal ............................................................................................................................................

Dylan Stableford, Yahoo! News 7/16/2013
news.yahoo.com

A Twitter user who launched a social media campaign to stop a juror in the George Zimmerman case from getting a book deal has succeeded in her effort — within six hours.

On Monday, Juror B37, one of six female jurors who made the controversial decision to acquit Zimmerman in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, told Anderson Cooper that she had signed with a literary agent to shop a tell-all book about her experience during the three-week, televised trial.

The agent, Sharlene Martin, told Yahoo News that the juror reached out to her on the advice of a producer from a morning show and that the juror had said she was planning to publish the book anonymously “given the sensitivity of the verdict and the outpouring of mixed reactions by the American public.”

Then came the social media campaign.

Genie Lauren, whose Twitter handle is @MoreAndAgain, tweeted out the agent's contact information, urging fellow users to flood the agency with calls and emails "to stop the book deal from coming to fruition," Uproxx.com reports.

"Hey, @sharlenemartin, please drop juror B37," Lauren wrote. "Do not help the person who let a murderer get away profit from this tragedy."

"Only thing I can think to do is flood Sharlene Martin's phone, email, and snail mail, w/ requests that she drop juror B37," she continued.

Lauren then launched a Change.org petition asking the agency to drop the unnamed juror:

After murdering Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman was acquitted, even though juror B37 admitted (in a CNN interview) that Zimmerman "went too far", and didn't "stop at the limitations he should've stopped at". Now that very juror, who allowed Trayvon Martin's killer to get away, is writing a book. Please don't allow this person to profit off of the injustice that they've served to the American public. We deserve better. Trayvon Martin's family deserves better.

The petition quickly reached 1,000 signatures, and the Martin Literary Agency released a statement late Monday:

After careful consideration regarding the proposed book project with Zimmerman Juror B37, I have decided to rescind my offer of representation in the exploration of a book based upon this case.

Juror B37 then announced she was abandoning the book idea:

I realize it was necessary for our jury to be sequestered in order to protect our verdict from unfair outside influence, but that isolation shielded me from the depth of pain that exists among the general public over every aspect of this case. The potential book was always intended to be a respectful observation of the trial from my and my husband’s perspectives solely and it was to be an observation that our "system" of justice can get so complicated that it creates a conflict with our "spirit" of justice. Now that I am returned to my family and to society in general, I have realized that the best direction for me to go is away from writing any sort of book and return instead to my life as it was before I was called to sit on this jury.

Roots' drummer Questlove applauded Lauren's efforts, tweeting a thank you note to his 2.6 million followers.
