To Marc and all,
Anyone notice the effort in the past few days to close the stock at $5.00 ?

Marc,

I think the rebound after year end last year was a classic "January effect", nothing more sinister. I know I was buying, expecting 1997 to be a big year for voice recognition in general and fonix particularly, with patent approval just around the corner, and big revenue-producing deals to follow shortly thereafter. Fortunately, I was right on the first count and switched horses soon enough to minimize my losses on fonix and catch the run-up for big gains on LHSPF. LHSPF profits will nearly double in 1998; fonix - ?????? - probably still in the red.

Bob

Marc's reminiscing led me to reveiw the posts from last year at this time - "This Week in Fonix History", if you will. The two most striking were #167, from Marc, who predicted that the patents would be issued in January (one was), and that "if so, $6/share willed be seen as a missed opportunity" He also compared fonix to a luxury cruise liner about to leave, though he allowed that some believed that it was the return of the Titanic. The more things change...

#169, from Skeet, said that fonix's (technologies) "are but one pathway turn in an immense maze" (to successful voice recognition), which also seemed quite insightful in retrospect.

Just for fun.

Bob
