The real civil rights atrocity in this country is the extent to which urban violence is escalating and conditions are worsening. Millions of Americans are being denied the opportunities available in this country because the current administration is more inclined to appease the gangland culture causing these conditions to persist than oppose it, to the point of enabling, endorsing, and encouraging it. They have instead focused their activism on gun control directed at conservative and in comparison, low crime regions of the country. We are on the verge of being forced to declare a lost generation of people living in urban ghetto areas who, by no fault of their own, are being forced to survive under these horrific conditions. This administration, with the support of most civil rights attorneys, could make sweeping changes to improve urban culture. Why aren't they?
