You have actual proof of this? Because it is inconsistent with the concept of saving money, which was what we started out with.

What we know, empirically, is that preventive care is more expensive -- both in terms of delivery of PC, as well as "fewer people dying", which costs [lots] more money. So, where, exactly, are you getting your information?

If you want to save money, it is easy. Just let people die. If you want to extend their lives, you are going to spend more money on health care.
