Apparently the judges hands were tied on that one. Blame it more on stupid laws we have here in FL. If she had actually shot him she might be home now. Hope she can get some grounds on appeal or pardon by the Governor?

As to your points on what will work to help black people i would say until we stop having such a high percentage of kids born out of wedlock and set policies directed at growing from the middle out again little will change. Another point. Black males need to develop there niche, develop a skill set as well that will allow them to be productive in society. I notice too many want to take the easy way out rather than learn blue collar skills or stay in school and get a higher education. I rarely if ever encounter a highly skilled black contractor here in FL..

America is an example a country where racial diversity is not only tolerated but actively affirmed as a positive characteristic. It is promoted in the legal structure, in the employment arena, and in community lifestyle. Most communities in urban and suburban America are models of mixed racial values and racial diversity in social life as a standard in practice.

That doesn't mean human animosity of one to another or of one group to another has lessened in all practicality. Animosity on the contrary seems, in fact, to be a human condition which all of us recognize in our daily endeavors. So what if it isn't a legal mandate that we offer a ride, extend a hand, greet one another with a friendly smile and kind gesture, give generously to someone in need, but it certainly demonstrates the willingness of one to rise to a more noble character which is above that noted animus of our lessor nature.

We will always be able to find sub-groups vilifying groups or individuals different than themselves, that is what groupism is all about. It's easy to point the finger, the trick may be to ask myself (or yourself) 'when was the last time I rose to the urge from my conscience to be my more noble self.'

Cheers Koan, and have peace.

Best regards,
