Banks (and other companies) where subsidized and/or bailed out. And yes most of that went to wealthy people.

But most of that money came from wealthy people, as does most of the money for non-entitlement social programs, and a good chunk of money for the entitlements as well.

There are transfers to the wealthy. But the net total transfer is strongly away from the wealthy. They pay most of the taxes, and are ineligible for many of the programs. Most of them don't own banks, and where not major shareholders of GM, Fisker, Solyndra, etc.
