I would cut the MIC budget and put the savings into a massive effort (like we had gearing up for WW2) towards alternative energy. It would incorporate job training, research, manufacturing and maintenance.

Secondly, i would throw GMO foods out the window and start a national effort to teach everyone how to grow organically.

I would ban private insurance on just about everything, especially medical.

It's called self reliance and personal responsibility. I'm surprised the right wing avoids it like the plague.

By all means. The country needs to be weak and unable to defend itself as the economy collapses. Of course, the idea that you could "cut the MIC budget" and generate any savings at all is absurd. You could eliminate the military altogether and you still wouldn't come close to balancing the budget when all the off-budget obligations are properly accounted for. As to "alternative energy", we've been putting money into it for decades and it still is not economically viable. And this is going to be the big savior?

As to GMO foods, that's silly. GMO foods are harmless, and have some rather substantial benefits.

If you banned "insurance on everything", that would totally eliminate the ownership of property or the ability to plan for one's death. All commerce would STOP and the economy would instantly collapse. That is just about the most stupid thing I've ever heard of. Hopefully, that was a [not very funny] joke.

I do realize now why I put you ignore years ago.

into a massive effort (like we had gearing up for WW2) towards alternative energy

So a lot more crony capitalism, and also more expensive and less reliable energy which would hurt the poor.

i would throw GMO foods out the window and start a national effort to teach everyone how to grow organically

So more expensive food, again hurting the poor and increasing inequality in real terms.

I would ban private insurance on just about everything, especially medical.

So more uninsured people, and more people facing costs that could force them in to bankruptcy.

You probably want government medical insurance for everyone, but that isn't what you said. Also the last sentence would still apply to other insured risks that aren't medical.

It's called self reliance and personal responsibility.

No more government mandates and prohibitions and subsidies amount to pretty much the opposite of self reliance and personal responsibility.
