John, I have not seen any break even comparisons for the Nasdaq because it has yet to break even. The most common ones I've seen are from the Dow 1929 and 1966 peaks, and that is what I was referring to.

As for the other question, you need an 909% gain, not including dividends, to make up for an 89% loss on the Nasdaq.
