Greetings Nancy, I thank you for your well meaning response, but Nancy we are worlds apart in our understanding of who is " the true Israel of God ", according to the Word of God. I will not repeat again what I believe the Bible teaches to the seeking heart who these people are today. Have you considered that Abraham , even though God had promised him this land was not looking for a literal piece of land, He was looking for a city whose builder and maker is God. Hebrews 11:9-10," By faith he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, dwelling in tents with Isaac and jacob, fellow heirs of the same promise; for He was looking for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God ". Also I believe that the Holy Spirit had it recorded for our sakes that he had to go and buy some land so he could bury his dead. Abraham was looking for a spiritual kingdom which was established by Our Lord Jesus Christ at Calvary and all believers have been seated in the heavenly places in Christ, now live there. The city is the "New Jerusalem" ( life in the Holy Spirit ). As to Paul visiting the synogogues, this was again the longsuffering of God toward this unbelieving nation who had rejected Jesus Christ as the promised Messiah. This practice came to an end when the final curses of the law came upon this nation according to Deuteronomy 28. The land promised to Israel in the Old Covenant was conditional upon them wholly obeying God. When they rejected Jesus as the long awaited Messiah they sealed their own fate and a reading of Deuteronomy 28 details this event which happened around 70A.D. Zechariah 2, has been in effect for 2000 years for all born again believers who now reside in the " New Jerusalem ", this is not some future event that is going to happen to the literal nation of Israel . We, as believers in Christ, now live there and Christ jesus is in the midst of us, Glory to the Holy One of Israel. Nancy I believe in the days ahead our gracious, Lord will reveal to you that the true " Israel of God " is the Body of Christ, the Church , made up of all nations and peoples according to His eternal plan and promise he made to Abraham. Grace and peace be unto you and allan and the " Israel of God '. Robert
