What are you using for data. If you are tracking that many issues I would recommend that you look at Quotes Plus. You can download all
3 major US exchanges plus open end funds and 300 indexes about 10,800
securities in one 150K file and then a few minutes to process the data. It has simple charting and good scanning capabilities. I use
these to filter down this large # into lists that I then export to
metastock format for further analysis. Given the # of securities
you track this or TC2000 might be a good solution. As I've said
before MS's data managment is poor at best. As far as I know there
is no way to preserve line studies when creating these new directories. QP makes data management better but still is hindered by
the 255 security max.

Just thought of this. Could you save the chart plus studies as a template and then load it on the new copy of the security. Not automatic but it might work.
