My own experience says it doesn't always work.

I bought a bunch of STJ puts before earnings. They came in 2 cents under the revised estimates, the market went down 100 points in 2 days, and STJ didn't move. :::sigh:::

Maybe the way to go is strictly with the techs? I'll be curious how things work out for you.
