Polar bottles have the old fashioned caps. Camel Backs have the complicated twist mechanism that won't let you take a sip.

Fill up your water bottle approx 2/3 with water and place it in the freezer at noon the day before you ride.
I do this even with the polar bottle. A half frozen bottle stay cold for 3 hours in 90F
