No it wasn't.That they would exist, of course. But it in no way tried to predict what fossils would be found. Still, an awful lot has been found. I remember in the early 1980s, the smoking gun for creation science how did birds evolve? They put their massive intellects together and concluded that all transitional creatures between a non-flying reptile and a fully fledged bird were too poorly adapted to survive. And then the first fossils in China were found and it was realized that at least some dinosaurs were feathered. As it turns out, feathers did not evolve primarily for flight, which is what the creationists took as an obvious basic assumption. Nope, they had other reasons for existence. Likely they originated as an insulating blanket for baby dinos so they could devote more metabolism to growing instead of expending it on keeping warm. It looks as if many, if not all dinosaurs kept them around, likely for display. By using computer simulation, some small dinosaur body forms likely used hopping to get close to prey in a pursuit. It their arms were feathered, individual variation and evolution could yield a glider dino in a relatively short period of time. From there to flight doesn't take a lot of imagination at that point... And yes, they have found some example fossils of those "unfit" intermediary stages. It helps to know what to look for. The creationists don't point at birds any more. Now there is a rather hilarious video on the net about a guy who uses bananas as "proof" of God's design...
