Paul: Another comparison - Gold/Dow

Jan. 1980
Dow 800
Gold 850 dollars/oz

If the same relationship were applied today, Gold would be valued at $8500/ounce.

Paul, what do you think would stop the government from setting an
arbitrary value of $50 per ounce of gold? Surely you don't believe
the government will let the market set the price of gold? Regards, Ron.
