We HAVE fallen behind in certain areas. Like education. But we don't need to learn from others. The answers are pretty obvious. Before the federal government took over education, before we had public sector unions, before we government was so fat and bloated it couldn't move, our country was the indisputable leader in education. That ought to be a pretty damned good clue.

Our health care system has always been the best in the world. We are losing ground today. Why? Medicare and Medicaid, begun in 1965, and now, of course, Obamacare, which practically everyone recognizes is a highly destructive force in health care, and those of us who really know something about the business of health care, comprehend it is far worse than just that.

In fact, practically every major category in which we've lost ground is directly traceable to Big Government's takeover.

>> You are beginning to descend into absurd arguments that are not part of my thinking at all.

No, I'm quite sure you didn't give the point any thought before you made it. There was nothing absurd about my end of the conversation. It was you making the point that people who have chosen to live their lives here are somehow not qualified to participate in the discussion.

Who's position is absurd?
