Of course not. But it is a fundamental reason for the existence of this country. But to those of us who have lived in other countries that's a given and therefore a "so what"....let me put it this way, citizens of other nations where freedom is a given don't need to wear such attributes on their sleeves. Of course you are. But if you're going to limit the selection to atheists, the likelihood of getting the best people possible to run the country is fairly slim. Clearly if I limited my selection to atheists I would not have any candidates for which to vote. That's a paradigm we've yet to cross here. Al
