our country was the indisputable leader in education. That ought to be a pretty damned good clue.

When was that? Give me a timeframe...

It was you making the point that people who have chosen to live their lives here are somehow not qualified to participate in the discussion.

Since that thought is completely foreign to me I categorically state that I never made nor intended to make such a point. I do make the statement however that the nationalistic view of many in the US keep us from learning from others (not to mention that it makes us seem quite arrogant to citizens of other countries).
