Not sure what your point is. You started bt saying that both parents are needed to raise a child and you detested the thought of " it takes a village". Now you are saying that bill C and Barack O had the support of a village/ extended family. All it needs is the constant attention of an adult to raise a child. Barack's mother could have been gay, widowed, divorced, abandoned but as long as she devoted herself to raising her son well, her son would be raised well. In these projects our Govt. does a half assessed job in that they think that they need provide food and shelter only. They need to focus on the next generation by opening up good schools in the projects. That will ensure that we do not lose the next generation. If we make that investment in schools investment, then we can expect a ROI by way of less prisons, reducing court costs for prosecuting crimes and the invaluable ROI of a better and happier society that is near crime free.
