The option traders are caught in a very bad situation when they saw their paper short positions did work any more and backfired on themselves. I doubt they dare to sink more money to sell more paper short at expiration date (Thursday). They know the game is over and what left is to minimize loses. We shall see.

This is 1999 all over again. Expect 2000 on the S&P and 20K on the Dow before the next bear. The only difference is that the Goldies play catch up and hit new all time highs.
