Sure, you start with Windows 8, and build off the captive audience there. That's what Softie's strategy is anyway. The existence of RT is completely irrelevant. You've compiled a nice list, but where's RT? At last count, IDC had it at 1.1 million after 6 months.

Putting out something that is not ready, and trying to "build on it," is what gets you Apple Maps.
