Human beings seem to have a great need for the company of animals since we maintain zoos & aquariums & spend $55bil annually just on pets. Seems to be a human need fulfilled here, add the cost of zoos & your approaching 1/2 the annual budget of the Catholic church. And their rituals are pretty strange too, have a wafer cookie, light a candle & burn some incense.
