Barbes,
Re -- It could even get worse for AMD.

Heck it definitely will get worse for AMD. Did Vinod Dham know something about the k6 future? that he upped and quit?

Why is the K6 233 really running at 3.2 and 3.3 volts when the K6/200 and the process is designed for 2.9 volts?

With the pricing in flash memory coming down, AMD's revenues 1/2 in flash decreasing, pretty soon AMD could be a $1 billion company in sales.

I haven't seen 1 FACT to show that AMD oculd be profitable in Q2 98, NONE. ALL EMPTY PROMISES and HYPE.

Barbes, what color grease would you like for Christmas.

STAY TUNED FOR MORE AMD LOSSES!!!

Drbes - Re: "but this time I think that it will get worse for iNTEL. "

Yeah, right!

Time (sorry dRBES) has TOLD!

Check AMD's stock price, AND Intel's stock price, on April 2, 1997 - the day of the BIG K6 ROLL Out.

AMD closed at $39.5 that day - so it is DOWN about 46%. ($21.125 on 12/5/97)

Intel closed at $68.50 that day so it is UP 14% since then ($77 5/8 on 12/5/97).

And what will make it different this time around? A series of leaks about AMD design wins at Compaq? A series of leaks about 0.25 micron production ?

Drbes - the bottom line is THE BOTTOM LINE.

Check AMD's bottom line - you'll find negative numbers.

Check Intel's bottom line - you'll find LARGE POSITIVE NUMBERS.
