NC to me about as close a feel to being out west if you are looking at the south. If that makes any sense.. he thing that blows me away is the eastern third by the ocean is actually the more backward regressive part of the state outside of Wilmington..

Yeah, I had some friends move to Wilmington from LA in the early aught years. They liked it at first but now they are back in LA.
