And who kept you busy? Who taught you the values that caused you to want to do well in school and play sports? Very strong family unit. Old fashioned values dependent on self reliance, not playing the blame game, not relying on the government.. Stay out of trouble stay far away from the shady sketchy characters in the hood. Yes it is almost impossible to avoid if you are a young black kid raised in the ghetto to a single mom. BUT why did the conditions in place since the early 1970's not exist prior to LBJ's Great Society even tough racism against blacks was not only legal but far, far, far greater than any out there these days?
