At least Lydian management is on the ball.

As soon as they heard about the resolution, they quickly determined the impact on their mine plan, established a working group and promptly issued a news release.

Mining is seldom smooth sailing - there are many bumps on the road.
Good managers are separated from poor managers by the way in which they handle the unexpected challenges.
So far, I like the actions undertaken by Lydian's management.
