ScanDisk

It's part of Windows 95.

StartMenu | Programs | System Tools | ScanDisk

Type of test = "standard " is usually good enough
check box "automatically fix errors" ON

Let it delete cross-linked files or lost file fragments, if it asks for verification.

Bill,

What was the name of the WINMAG program you used to clean up your registry? Was it the freeware? Went to the site and found various different products. I'd like to try it on my registry.

William,

She is referring to windows 95 scandisk which is a disk utility
included with windows 95 and NT. You can access it via:

start->programs->accessories->system tools->scandisk.
