"How does science prove any kind of morality"

"Morality is simply what people think is right behaviour and wrong. Science proves the bible (as an example) is a collection of tribal creation myths and war boasts cobbled together over centuries. Science does NOT prove those absurd and disgusting tales of rape, genocide, incest, and slavery are immoral. That is a social judgement which can be debated through philosophy, psychology, and sociology. Try to follow along, Chump.

Moral beliefs have come together over thousands of years through trial and error and through applied Reason. Although moral codes admit of wide variety through time, place, and culture...they are still fairly consistent in most cultures due to the essential nature of human beings and the realities of how best to survive and prosper in groups. An individual alone on an island cannot act either morally or immorally--at least as regards human beings. It does not matter whether he prays to one god, a thousand gods--or none at all.
