i am not saying its not interesting. whats your catalyst, besides housing? They are P&C, having interest in coal and buying brokerages? Wtat do you think about their capital allocation skills? If their payout is already 50%, u r prob. not getting anything more there, in terms of yield. Trading at 27x earnings. Whats their divide between retail and commercial?

Honestly, i respect your investment opinions, so am not saying AJG is not interesting. If you want me to look at something specific, i am more than happy to look at it for you.

I will give you a hint on my idea. I am looking at firm thats big on govrt. cyber intel and is also now applying its technology on the commercial side, trades below 13x earnings and some other stuff going on, including being a potential takeover target. A good dividend yield and solid balance sheet. No matter how much the budget cuts, this is one area, where the govt will never cut its spending. Now thats more interesting to me than looking at P&C firms right now.

You know markets are little nuts, so going foraward you want to be invested in pretty safe names that are intra hedged. I believe market will go up over the next year, but it will give opportunities to buy assets on the cheaper side and when it falls, its gonna be shitty.

I still have NOT sold my dell and i am long HESS.
