The 40 hour work week was all done by unions and labor organization and more unions, unions and more unions!!! Unions made sure that free markets couldn't make enough wealth to be able to move to LESS than 40 hours per week. Unions drove prosperity so far back that we need 2 incomes per household just to get by and families are sinking even then. Unions are criminal enterprises that have legal standing. They are a blight on humanity and we would all be better off if they were banished from the face of the earth. Unions rob everyone who isn't in them. I guess you're the one who doesn't know shit.
