Cuddling with former KGB will cost him a lot of the support he still has in the US and the West. I bet even Assange will no longer want any part of him. And yes, after some serious vodka drinking - and some "heart to heart" conversations with his new friends - he'll probably be forgotten. He'll try to recapture his "moment of glory", probably write a book or two - but his credibility will be gone.

Kim Philby worked for the Soviets most of his life, and all he got was a pension - and a hero's star (after he died). He lived out his life as a depressed, lonely man. Snowden won't get any pensions - and no stars.
