To All, It seems we all think a like on this thread which in itself is a good sign.While our trading may differ in style we all seem to think logicaly about the oppurtunitys available.My thoughts on the Hearings are this. 1.The sentiment toward fault is not really an issue as it was in the Value Jet flight.The reason I say this is TWA has not had the Bad press that followed the Value jet crash.No Maintenance problems of any concern were raised that crippled the Airline like Value Jet. 2. The fact that the plane had out lived its life is not Valid.You may think this speaks well of Boeing But in reality goes back to the History of the Actual plane and who maintained it. 3.This statement in the news that Tony posted and I hope you read, tells a lot: The hope was to have another hearing before the end of next year that would give a probable cause. The data issued on Sunday suggested that some of the popular theories about what might have sparked the explosion might not stand up to the evidence. It is obvious that this hearing is only another Q + A session. I dont think a lot of harsh statements will come out.The victims Familys may have some emotional input if asked but that is it. secondly here the fact that the Fuel pump itself was never found will definetly cast a shadow over any definitve Conclusions that might arise At this time . 4.This now lends credence to the reasoning behind the support given by the financial community at this time.The Analyst that have rated this stock to Out perform and begun coverage once again is a strong indicator that we wil not see anything of any significance come out of these hearings this week. I stand by my summation here barring any bombshels that might occur at the hearings, but as far as I see it things look pretty tame.
