No, because in Germany, the majority spoke in favor of the Nazis and look what it got them. In Venezuela, the majority spoke for Chavez, and look what it got them. In Cuba, in Argentina, in Iran, in Egypt....shall I go on? The majority isn't always right...especially when the majority is apathetic and undereducated. Destruction of our basic freedoms to fight terrorism is not ok. We are destroying this country and everything great about it, bit by agonizing bit. I will not go quietly into the good night, as I witness this.

"The majority have spoken and said it is OK for the govt to spy and they have even funded it. So isn't it time for the minority to move forward?"

The vast majority of the represented have been operating in the dark. As they learn more, their opinions change.

"This is the first time in Pew Research polling that more have expressed concern over civil liberties than protection from terrorism since the question was first asked in 2004."
