Hey, that is exactly what they were doing all along, except they were
printing money, not repatriating money. That's why their financial system (banks) is in such trouble. Gvn may also think they have no choice as traditionally there is little appetite in Japan for public money use. Now if they would allow Yen
to strengthen (and they may have little choice in order to stop foreigners and Japanese alike to sell Nikkei) how in a world they would compete with Asia?
