I don't agree with your conclusion. At least not for my definition as I think of Libertarian. If Libertarian meant zero government and total individual rights - then that is what they would give as the definition. It's not hard to write. There is a word for that and it's anarchy. Definition;

• absence of government and absolute freedom of the individual, regarded as a political ideal.

So let me rewrite the definition of libertarian as I see it for you; favoring the individual rights over state control of your own self whenever possible.

In fact neolib, if you look up the word democratic under synonyms you will find the word libertarian.
