"It would not surprise if the rumors were started by Rs and wouldn't surprise if Bush/Cheney knew where bin Laden had been all along."

That's insane. I wouldn't be surprised if your IQ is lower than room temperature. Otherwise, how can you be so simple minded?

>“There are already rumours circulating that Osama bin Laden is being held somewhere already and it’s only that they are trying to decide what day they should bring him out,” McDermott told Confederation of Indian Industry representatives at a luncheon in New Delhi on Thursday.

Yeah... I'm not so sure it's true. Someone anonymous supposedly told WorldNetDaily about it. No mainstream sources have it anywhere. No one has said it on the record, ever. I Googled and Googled and couldn't find the quote anywhere else other than people referencing WND. If McDermott did say it, it was extremely irresponsible (and incorrect) of him, but I'm far from convinced he did. Don't you think at least the Seattle Times would've reported it if it were true?

Interestingly enough, he did make a similar comment about Saddam Hussein the year before:

community.seattletimes.nwsource.com

So, yeah, the dude was irresponsible. He should not have said that. That sort of conduct is unbecoming of a Congressman.
