Whether it is "poverty level wages" isn't a factor from my POV. The question is what is the market rate for a person with a given set of skills. Nothing else should matter, imo.

I'm not sure where you get the idea that those earning "poverty level wages" are HELPED by a minimum wage. There is ample proof that all the minimum wage does is leaves more of those people jobless and unable to lift themselves out of poverty because of their unemployment.

This really should be obvious to anyone with an average or above IQ. It isn't a difficult concept to understand.
