... then Saddam Hussein would still be in power and would have continued his reign of terror and suffering.

Only a fool would think that Saddam staying in power would have "saved half a million lives."

McDermott's actions were treasonous because they basically supported a madman in power.

I'd say Republicans are guilty of treason. They refuse to accept the duly elected Obama government, and work to overthrow it, going far beyond campaigning for election themselves.
