DAK,

Last year, SVGI had a capacity of 40 steppers. By the end of next year, they expect to have a runrate of 200 steppers. Last year, IBM and Intel essentially took all the capacity they could build.

A little delay in ramp up might be helpful.

Re value of yen: I believe equipment sales are in $ generally. Canon, Nikon are just as likely to take the extra margin in Yen as to pass along a price decrease. These companies tend to compete on functionality anyway, IMHO.

Ian.

David, your point is well taken... if the dollar continues to advance strongly against the yen, at some point it becomes difficult.
Of course, I remember when the yen/dollar exchange rate was 360/1.
So to me it's still an "overvalued yen" <g> dlo
