[Interim solutions] <<< I was referring to is the "bonded" line technique which was recently announced as doubling the 56k barrier using 2 conventional lines and a "double" modem (as I understand it). To me THIS would be the interim technology while the individual users wait for the telcos to get off their butts with ADSL.>>> Now we're on the same page. I didn't think you meant ADSL, based on all you've said on the Amati board, but had to make sure. <<<What may be the cause of the confusion is that I may be wrong in assuming that this would be a DSP solution. >>> TI's is DSP, yes, so is ADI's. Not sure about ALA's. Tried to double-check on their web page and the ADSL connects were down. I'll post an editorial I found on the Amati board where it belongs. Pat
