Do you think the Dark Ages were Ok when people were tortured for heresy? Or the way the women in the middle east are constantly beaten and given no freedom at all because of religion. Read the book Infidel. Or the suppression of science for a 1,000 years; or the fact the Catholic church campaigns against the use of condoms in Africa where aids is pandemic? Or even today where the religious folks are leading the campaign against gays? Or the fact the bible best is the most racist area in the country and had to be forced to integrate by our military.
