I don't think he's the "greatest" but he is certainly among the greats. Not among today's generations, but history will remember him fondly.

We forget sometimes that freedom is hard fought and takes years to materialize. Just as our own country's did in the late 1700s. It didn't happen overnight, although today, we act like it did.

Of course, there are those -- like you and tejek and Z, who think we'd have been better off under British rule than giving up lives during the Revolution. Because to you, freedom isn't worth fighting for.
