Hi Truff: Thanks for the flattering comment! Ouch on CCI: That's just the market's way of getting it's revenge on you for doing too well on RMBS! It's that thing called OVER confidence...gg. Just when you think you've found the Holy Grail or can walk on water, you get your head handed to you!

I was a bit under the weather last week but managed to get long Korea Fund around 6 1/2ish and am ready to jump all over Intel if it takes off from here...right now it's acting like the mother of all laggards. I traded in and out a bit last week trying to position myself for a liftoff which never came... sure did in a lot of other stocks.

I like GM for an eventual run to new highs, but it is often difficult buying the lows on this one.

Are you still short AAPL? If so that ought to ease the CCI pain and boost the ego. 'Fraid I screwed up on my analysis there, but I was not physically involved. BTW, looks like that other Trading Goddess, (you know who's better half), finally got humbled this last few weeks as I hear she was very negative on the market as were almost all professionals I talked to...a good enough buy signal in itself.

Still think there's a bit of a run left in the market but I'm not sure how much the big movers of recent weeks have left in them. There are reasonable odds of a further 50 points up in the Naz.

My real strategic interest right now is buying gold stocks on dips from this point on. I think there's a rasonable chance of a rally back to 300 from the next low it puts in and after that we'll see where the retest takes us. Even a rally to 300 ought to add 20 to 30 % to most of the small explorers. I like BMG, BGO and ALTA.

How did you do on the oils? You really called that one well. Are you out now or still short. I covered my short on PRST but it looks like it may be ready for another leg down. What do you think?

TIA and rgds

Wiz

Good Afternoon Trufflette: I am warming to the Japanese mkt at the moment. I think it has done a lot of good work near recent lows and looks potentially explosive, which could give a boost to Asian mkts and ours too. Eg. Check Sony (SNE) looks pretty bullish to me. Honda (HMC) making new highs...leading the way?? Did you see my remarks re Japanese auto stocks a few weeks ago? I still like KF under 7, though I would prefer 5 gg. INTC and NAZ suffering a bit of Oracleitis today but I expect uptrend to resume (in Naz) barring any more shocks.

As I mentioned the other day, I'm looking at GM down here as a buying op for an eventual run to new highs and beyond.

Any comments
