I disagree. People switch systems all the time. It's a chore, but with proper planning can be done successfully. Consider that a few years ago there was no Windows 95 or NT -- anyone running those has switched (or is new to computers). In fact, the entire MSFT business model requires that people switch every few years. The change from NT 3.51 to NT 4.0 is probably, in some ways, as traumatic as the change from NT to Unix.
