has anyone mentioned here that given the looming fact that the Year 2000 problem could be a VERY, VERY expensive problem for humankind, there could be a severe one-year recession (at least) by the year 2000, effectively killing the bull market by 1999.
new york times, in an article yesterday, compared the problem to the opec-caused recession of the mid-70's.
of course, there will be at least some companies benefitting out of this problem, like there were in that recession (the oil-related companies).
