AV--Leave it to the Hollywood types to upset the scientific applecart. And I thought it was the MPG they were getting on the shuttle crafts that led them to a more efficient mode of transport. ON another subject, it seems that Soundview countered my AMAT commentary with the following: Monday December 8, 12:34 pm Eastern Time RESEARCH ALERT - Applied Materials EPS NEW YORK, Dec 8 (Reuters) - SoundView Financial Group Inc said on Monday it lowered its fiscal 1998 earnings estimate on shares of Applied Materials Inc to $1.99 per share from $2.15 per share. -- Analyst Michael O'Brien maintained his short- and long-term buy rating on the stock.
