I have to renew my driving license periodically and prove I can at least SEE well enough to drive. Shouldn't gun owners have to do at least as much?

sounds fair:
.......plug a liberal at 10 yards wearing glasses ...........pass with restrictions
.......knock one off at 30 yards without glasses.............pass with no restrictions
