President Obama had no words of comfort for a Kansas mother, Melissa Coon, or her 13-year-old son. Only two days after Trayvon Martin was shot, two sixteen-year-old blacks attacked her son on the doorstep of her home. One of the bigger teens prevented her son from entering her home. As one of the blacks held her son’s arms behind his back the other teen doused her son with gasoline from a red plastic gas can that they had brought for the occasion. Then one of the black teens whipped out his lighter and set Melissa Coon’s son on fire, yelling, “This is what you deserve. You get what you deserve, white boy !” The horribly disfigured white child will endure a long and painful recovery with first-degree burns to his face and head. There is worry of permanent damage to his eyes and lungs. “You could smell the burned skin. You could smell the burned hair. It was awful,” lamented the victim’s mother. The mother said her son will not be returning to the high school only two blocks from her home where her son’s attackers are probably students. “My 5-year-old came in and asked me, ‘Mom, am I going to get set on fire today?’” said the mother. “I was in tears.” To the liberal media this real-life event was “not news” or it was “local news” not worthy of much attention. The true essence of this racist attempted murder was concealed with vague language that was carefully scrubbed of any mention of racial hostility. The same media people who had carefully sanitized the image of Trayvon Martin also sanitized the story of the two racist blacks who had done their best to burn a white child alive. All this was happening while Obama’s Justice Department agents were in Florida organizing rallies against George Zimmerman. weirdrepublic.com
