REPORT: LAWMAKERS TO SUBSIDIZE OWN OBAMACARE PREMIUMS WITH TAX DOLLARS

Members of Congress and their aides will essentially be exempt from Obamacare, as the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) will issue a ruling that says the federal government can subsidize the health insurance premiums of members of Congress and their aides even though the law does not say so.

"FDR's reaction was to turn back to the fiscal orthodoxy of the time, and he began to reduce emergency relief and public works spending in an effort to truly balance the budget. "

That's because he was under pressure from conservative Dems aka dixiecrats and Republicans to balance the budget. You see very little has changed in 80 years. Oh wait there has been some change.......dixiecrats are now very conservative Rs.

True, he returned to Keynes based on the 1938 recession, but the budget cuts were FDR's doing. There was immense pressure from within his cabinet to do so, and Morganthau was the only one in the group that had come to his senses.

Yes, cutting spending didn't work. When will you learn that fact? You don't cut spending during a recession. You cut it when things are going well. Hell, it doesn't take a Rhodes scholar to figure that one out.
